Sir
William Eaton and Dr. Kenneth Y. Kiemm established the
World GA in 1988 in Scotland, UK, the birthplace of
the game of golf. In the late 1990s, the World GA expanded
and established its global administrative and marketing
jeadquarters in Anaheim, California in the United States
of America.
Golf
has truly become a popular international sport enjoed
by millions of plauers throughout the world. It is also
has evolved into a muti-billion dollar industry and
promises to be even larger player in the growing economy.
The
World GA aims to promote popular involvement in the
game of golf. It further seeks to expand participation
and enjoyment of the game of golf by millions of the
amateur and professional golfers throughout the world.
Many of the world's most talented and accompished amateur
and professional golf associations nor can they enter
tournaments in many countries.
The
World GA offers education, training, golf management
certificaton programs and for amateur, semi-professional
and professional players. It also organizes amateur
and professional tournaments at some of the world's
most prestigious golf courses and country clubs.
The
World GA is an organization run by golfers worldwide
who are dedicated to "promoting and conserving
the best interests and trye spirit of the game of golf
as embodied in its anciest and honorable tradition."
