Championship

The W.G.A. Tour serves as an important focal point of all “World Golf Association” activities.  In promoting the game of golf, the tour is one of the main events organized by “The World Golf Association.”  The W.G.A. President, Vice President and Secretary and two members from each national affiliate will be voting members on the tournament policy.  The Senior W.G.A. tour’s voting members of policy shall consist of the same members with the addition of all honorary members.  The W.G.A. tournament is entirely owned and licensed by “The World Golf Association.” No part of its name, insignia, or logos shall be reproduced without permission from the organization and promotion of each event.  In addition, the association will also have complete responsibility in dealing with all agreements concerning the W.G.A. tournament with each national affiliate.

   Condition

    The championship shall be decided by strokes over four rounds of 18 holes, in accordance with the rules of golf as approved by the R&A and the U.S.G.A., and the local rules approved by the championship committee.

   In the event of a tie after four rounds, the championship shall be decided by a hole by hole play-off  “Sudden Death” basis. In the event of ties for other prizes, purses shall be added up and equally divided between the players who lie.

  It will be obligatory for all competitors in the championship and in the qualifying competitions to play with a large ball which is named on the current R&A U.S.G.A. approved list. (ONE BALL RULE)
